What is a Boost campaign?

A Boost is a campaign from a School or Collective to Stake a specific athlete.

Fan contributions are then "boosted" with matching dollars from the School or Collective to incentivize contributions from fans.

To run a Boost campaign, first you'll need to apply for access to the Fanstake Boost tool. You can apply for access with this link.

Boost Campaign Setup:

First, choose your target athlete:

Next, set your Budget Cap and your Match Level:

  • Budget Cap: the maximum amount of matching funds you will contribute to the campaign.
  • Match Level: the rate at which you will match contributions that come in from fans.

How Match Levels Work for Boost Campaigns:

1.5x: $0.50 on the dollar. For every dollar that comes in, you add $0.50.

Example: a fan contributes $10 to a 1.5x Boost Campaign. You contribute $5, bringing the total contribution to this Boost Campaign to $15.

2x: Dollar for dollar match. For every $1 that comes in, you add $1.

Example: a fan contributes $10 to a 2x Boost Campaign. You contribute $10, bringing the total contribution to $20.

3x: 2-for-1 contributions. For every $1 that comes in, you add $2.

Example: a fan contributes $10 to a 3x Boost Campaign. You contribute $20, bringing the total contribution to $30.

Finally, set the duration of your campaign.

You can choose to run a Boost until your budget runs out (regardless of the date), or until a specific date (assuming you don't hit your cap before then).

Once you confirm your payment information, your campaign will be set live!

After setting your Boost campaign live, you'll have access to a full analytics dashboard to track progress and details of the campaign.
